Capturing love in Coastal New England: Photographing a Rhode Island micro wedding
As a North East wedding photographer, I primarily work with clients in the New York City and Brooklyn area. On the chance someone reaches out with a request to photograph in coastal New England, I excitedly pack my gear and catch an early Metro North train out.
I grew up in Connecticut and still have deep ties to the small Gilmore Girl-esque town where I grew up. And yes there is a gazebo in the center of the town.
Nearly a year ago, I photographed my first ever wedding in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The couple’s journey was particularly special, as they were navigating a long-distance relationship at the time. The wedding was a sweet micro wedding with only the bride and groom’s closest family.
After a trip to the courthouse to file for their marriage license, we made our way to a nearby bay area for the ceremony. The soft sounds of the waves created the perfect backdrop to exchange vows, and I was honored to be one of the signing witnesses as well as photographer!
Every wedding, engagement, and family I photograph in New England fills me with joy, especially those that celebrate meaningful connections and serene natural beauty. I cherish these moments and am committed to capturing the unique essence of each couple’s love story in the breathtaking landscapes of New England.
If you’re planning your own wedding, need holiday card photos, or are trying to grow your local business in New England, I will gladly take a trip up north with my camera gear.
