It depends on your family and the season. For outdoor sessions, Compo Beach in Westport and Sherwood Island State Park are beautiful in fall and spring. The residential streets of Greenwich and New Canaan photograph beautifully in autumn foliage. At-home sessions work wonderfully year round — your own space tells your story in a way a park never can.

Fall is the undisputed best season — October light in Connecticut is extraordinary, the foliage is spectacular, and golden hour arrives at a civilized hour. It's also the sweet spot for holiday card photos. Spring is beautiful too, especially along the Fairfield County coastline. I'm available year round and happy to talk through timing based on your goals.

How long is a family session?
Most family sessions run 60 minutes. That's usually enough time to move through a couple of spaces or activities and get a real variety of images without anyone running out of patience — including the kids.
